If you check out my main blog, WeAreGrowing, you'll notice that I got rid of the BlogBanners banner because it was just too large and I've gotten less than 20 hits in less than three weeks from it. I just don't see that its size is worth that small amount of hits. If they create a smaller banner that they don't demand be placed "above the fold" I'll give them a try again.

I urge you to use this exchange which has given me some great traffic and it gets better the more you use it. For 5-10 minutes a day, it's well worth it.

I sent an email this morning and got a prompt reply. The gentleman seems very polite and unwilling to add something smaller that bloggers can use. I'm not sure that bloggers want to be confined to large banners like I've got at WeAreGrowing. Visit there and see what I mean. Any opinions? Is the Blogbanner too big? Could they offer something smaller? Please let me know! You could post the following exchange on your blog, too and see if we can get them to change their policy.

Hello.

I called when I first joined BlogBanners.com and the
man on the other end didn't know what I was talking
about when I said I was calling BlogBanners.com. I
called again and he "got it" the second time.

I really need you to create a smaller banner. I have
watched the traffic on my site and the general look of
my site and your BlogBanners banner is just way too
big. I have also noticed the traffic my blog has
received because of BlogBanners and it's less than one
hit per day.

If you look at other companies, huge numbers of them
have made available smaller banners because blogs have
a different sensibility than other websites.

I hope you'll create the smaller banner soon and
create a category for people who want to put the
banner below the fold. Would you please answer me
back right away and let me know if you intend to take
action on this?

I apologize for not getting back sooner. The thing is that our banner
exchange is settled to work with big banners 728x90. I understand your
concers concerning the size, but we're keeping it because that's where
the
standard size the online advertising industry is going. What I'm saying
is
your going to see more and more of banners like this in internet and in
the
blogosphere.
